2006 - 2009 The vocational school of Weissenburg initiates a project between apprentices of the mechanical department, mainly industrial mechanics, and the workshop for disabled people, so called Lebenshilfe, in Weissenburg. Here for the first time, students think about how to help people with different disabilities within their working as well as their everyday life by planning and constructing adequate devices.
2009 - 2012 VET4D (Leonardo da Vinci program)
The idea arises to expand the existing project on an European basis with different partner institutions all over Europe, schools as well as institutions for disabled people. The VET4D project team developed the VET4D hand book with best practice examples of good cooperation between vocational schools an workshops for people with disabilities.
2012 - 2014 proVET4D (Leonardo da Vinci program)
The VET4D project team developed the proVET4D toolkit and carried out various local cooperation projects between vocational schools an workshops for people with disabilities.
2014 - 2016 iVET4D in Europe (ERASMUS+)
The VET4D project team developed two VET4D guidelines. "Implementing the VET4D concept into school curricula" / "Managing VET4D projetcts with multinational student groups"
